Job Description: The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is looking for a Clinical Social Worker in a small, private treatment foster care program in Harford County. We are seeking an energetic team player who enjoys working with families to provide a healing environment for children of all ages who have a wide range of special needs.
The Arc provides opportunities to sharpen your clinical skills through intensive supervision and participation in a self-managed team of experienced social workers. We offer a milieu-based treatment approach. Social workers are responsible to provide ongoing clinical case management to foster families that results in stability and personal growth for children in care. The position also requires effective advocacy on behalf of children in care to insure they receive appropriate services and support. Social workers serve as liaisons between foster families and the referral agency. They are responsible for ensuring that applicable funding and regulatory agency requirements are met in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. Social workers also actively participate in the recruitment, pre-service training and continuing education of foster families.
Reliable transportation with a valid MD driver’s license and an acceptable driving record is required as travel, evening and weekend hours are also required at times. Preference will be given to those with experience in foster care, education, RTC or other children’s services


Education Requirements: This position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university. Current Maryland State Licensure at the LGSW level as well as demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication and organizational skills are required.
