MARFY TRAINING/SPECIAL EVENTS The Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth (MARFY) offers a professional training program for individuals that work with Maryland's most vulnerable children and families. We offer approximately 35 workshops a year for direct care workers in residential and non-residential programs, clinicians, i.e. social workers, therapists, psychologists and administrators. We are looking to expand and improve our training workshops and would like for you to submit a proposal to our training program. If you have a workshop that can benefit this target audience, we would like to know about it and possibly offer it to employees of child and family serving agencies throughout Maryland. Workshops are full days (9 AM-4:30 PM, including lunch). MARFY is privileged to offer CEUs to social workers, professional therapists and counselors, and psychologists to training participants. If you have a workshop that is half day, indicate that in your proposal. If you do not indicate that information, we will assume it is for a full day. If you are a current MARFY trainer and recently developed a new training workshop, please send in your proposal also. The subjects that are covered are generally in the areas of child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, substance abuse, ethics, administration, etc. Once submitted, the proposal will be reviewed by MARFY's training committee. If your proposal is selected, I will get in contact with you on possible dates, locations, etc. The following components should be included in the proposal:
Submit your proposal to Heidi Holland via email, hholland@marfy.org or fax, 410-757-9530. Please contact Heidi Holland if you have any questions at 410-974-4901 ext. 6 link OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES-MEETINGS OF INTEREST
